1. Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by Ambang Kayu Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 200401021873 (654109-K)), a company incorporated in Malaysia with its office at No. 18, Lorong Perindustrian Bukit Minyak 12, Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Minyak, 14100 Simpang Ampat, Pulau Pinang. Using this site means you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Information on the site

Descriptions, dimensions, lead times and specifications published here are indicative and describe our standard practice. Timber is a natural material: colour, grain and figure vary between boards and between batches, and photographs on this site show real doors under studio or site lighting rather than a guaranteed appearance. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance.

3. Quotations

A quotation becomes binding only when issued in writing by us and accepted in writing by you. Quotations are valid for thirty days unless stated otherwise, and are based on the dimensions and specification supplied at the time. If site measurements differ from those figures, we will re-quote before proceeding.

4. Orders and shop drawings

Production starts when you have approved the shop drawing and paid the deposit stated on the quotation. The approved drawing governs the order. Changes requested after approval may affect price and lead time, and changes requested after machining has begun may not be possible at all.

5. Lead times

Lead times run from shop drawing approval, not from the date of enquiry. We publish realistic ranges and we tell you promptly if a batch slips. We are not liable for consequential losses arising from delay, including site standing time, where the delay is caused by weather events, timber supply interruption, transport disruption or any other matter outside our reasonable control.

6. Price and payment

Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit and exclude any applicable taxes unless stated. Standard terms are fifty per cent deposit on order and the balance before dispatch. Title to goods passes on receipt of payment in full; risk passes on delivery.

7. Delivery

We deliver to a single address per order unless the quotation says otherwise. You are responsible for providing safe vehicle access and adequate labour for offloading unless an offload service was quoted. Doors must be inspected on delivery and any visible damage noted on the delivery document at that time.

8. Storage and site conditions

Doors delivered to an unfinished site must be stored flat, off the ground, under cover and away from wet trades. Leaves must be sealed on all six faces before hanging. Warranty does not cover leaves distorted by storage in a damp or unventilated space, or by installation before wet trades have dried out.

9. Warranty

We warrant our doors and frames against defects in materials and workmanship for twenty-four months from delivery. The warranty covers repair or replacement at our option and does not cover natural colour change, movement within accepted tolerances, damage from misuse or impact, finishes applied by others, or doors modified after delivery. Claims should be sent to [email protected] with photographs and the order reference.

10. Intellectual property

Text, photographs and drawings on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced commercially without written consent. Where you supply a design for manufacture, you confirm you have the right to do so.

11. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction. Where a dispute arises we ask that you contact us first; most things are resolved with a site visit.
