The warning signs worth acting on

Breakers that trip when the kettle and microwave run together. Switch plates warm to the touch. A faint fish-like smell near sockets, which is overheating insulation. Few families can move out for a week, so we plan rewires room by room and circuit by circuit. Power stays on in the parts of the house we are not touching that day, cabling runs are agreed before any chasing starts, and walls are made good afterwards. A modern board separates lighting, power and heavy appliances, protects wet areas and bedrooms with RCCBs, and is labelled so anyone can find the right breaker in a panic. We replace burnt or obsolete boards, correct earthing, and photograph the finished board with its schedule for your records. A DB board upgrade typically runs RM950 to RM1,800 depending on circuit count. Full rewiring is priced per point after a site inspection; most double-storey terraces land between RM6,500 and RM12,000 including making good. Every quote is written, itemised and fixed once you approve it.
